Gill and Peter Bacchus are masters of their craft, Biodynamics, and I was lucky enough to spend a bit of time chatting with them after their recent workshop, held in Cromwell, New Zealand. These two are well-educated and switched on to life. They’re also in tune with the how important our relationship is with the planets, stars, earth, and the food we put into our bodies. Gill is the author of “Love Your Veges” [ed: “Veggies” for you Yanks] and Peter has authored “Biodynamic Pasture Management”. with the subtitle Balancing Fertility, Life and Energy.
YOUR FOOD SUPPLY #32: The Dynamic Duo Note: (This video series started 13 years ago, while listening to the audio version of the book, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, when Amanda and I were driving across the U.S. and were seeing the effects of industrial farming in real time while listening to the book. Here’s that first entry Your Food Supply #1To see the whole series, click on the category “Your Food Supply” in the category section of this blog on the right of your screen.
What struck me was, not only how informed Gill and Peter were when giving their workshop and interview, but how passionate they are about “the parts related to the whole” (physically, spiritually, with the plant kingdom, and universe) , and how we are all interconnected. I also appreciated Peter’s awareness of the bigger picture when it comes to globalist and government overreach. He’s clued in.
Gill has a long practical experience of organic vegetable and herb growing, and learning to choose a vegetable-based diet to manage health issues. She has helped children create school gardens, grow and cook vegetables and helped create community gardens. Gill has a masters in science in Soil Science and Human Nutrition and is also the author of Food Full of Life. Peter was raised on a biodynamic dairy farm and later worked as a medicinal herb grower, developing large-scale composting business. He consults widely and has held leadership position in biodynamic farming organizations. The two live near Thames on the north island of New Zealand. They can be reached at p.bacchus@farmside.com.nz and gillbacchus@gmail.com Although they do have a web domain, their website isn’t up and running at the moment, however here’s Gill’s Facebook page.
This year’s workshop was held at Valda Muller’s Organic New Zealand Nuts walnut farm where Valda guided the workshop participants on a walk-around of her property, which is virtually all biodynamic. The workshop was created and managed by Su Hoskins, who is also has an amazing grasp of organic and biodynamic farming, who we’ll interview soon. Sue recently hosted the two-day workshop where the first day was near Wanaka, and the second at Valda’s in Cromwell. You can learn more about Sue on her Facebook page.
If you get a chance, read their books, and if you’re in New Zealand, by all means, attend one of their, and Sue’s workshops.
One year ago today: I shot these videos and images when the police started getting pushy against peaceful protestors who only asked for their government to listen to their grievances. That never happened. What I and other citizen media providers reported and what we saw on the evening news were of two different worlds. One was what really happened, the other was what the corporate media wanted people to think. The NZ Police lost my respect that day, and the NZ/Globalist government behaved as expected, without regard for the citizenry. We were not few, we are many.
Is this a way to treat peaceful protestors? I think not. I later used this image as a banner icon on a Telegram channel.
The video interviews and images I posted on the Telegram channel I created to cover the protest, was later “remotely data wiped” by the New Zealand government minutes before I caught the ferry for the South Island. They also had the courtesy to remotely kill the charging ability of the phone, and then encrypted all of the images and videos. The only way to de-crypt the data was to re-charge the broken phone. Fortunately Fixit in Wanaka New Zealand, found and ordered used Samsung batteries with enough charger to resuscitate the phone enough to retrieve all my images and videos, three of which you see here.

Dr. Matt Shelton is the right guy for the job. He’s a founding member along with a robust steering committee at NZDSOS, (NS Doctors Speaking Out with Science). He’s a G.P. who’s been suspended from the NZ Medical Council for questioning the “safe and effective” claims of the Pfizer mRNA injection. His suspension gives this articulate spokesperson time to bring the truth to the fore. He’s an advocate for the actual story that the mainstream media and government seem Hell-bent on suppressing. The truth will come out though, thanks to strong, smart and courageous people like Dr. Shelton.
Please watch and share these video clips, shot a few months ago at “hui”, (as we say here in New Zealand), which is a gathering and brainstorming session for planning the way forward in a world of chaos created by our “leadership” in power. More on NZDSOS and their website below.
But before you watch please read this disclaimer: “Matt is a doctor of 37 years, but currently unable to work. He has devoted 1000’s of hours to studying the pandemic response, and is entitled to his views. They differ from the NZ government’s, (which is available on their website), and a substantial portion of his peers.
MORE ON NZDSOS: NZDSOS’s tagline on the homepage reads, “It’s time to freely make up our own minds” & “Freedom – In Health & Life, Connection & Humanity”. Their website states: “NZDSOS is a group of health professionals appalled at the censorship and coercion in response to the Covid-19 outbreak”.
The site performs a number of important roles, is well thought out, and has numerous links. On the front page, there’s a link to the HealthFormNZ site to report c-19 adverse effects as well as Insider’s Stories – NZDSOS Truth Project , an opportunity for health care workers and others to disclose what they are seeing since the rollout of the injections. There’s a link to the Health Helpline for those looking for medicine or, as the site states, “uncompromised ethical doctor you can trust” where one can book an appointment online for standard healthcare but also holistic, integrative medical care as well.
There’s an important professional members page for NZ registered doctors, dentists, pharmacists or vets to join in the conversation or sign a declaration. Also on the page, is a powerful “Statement for Medical Practitioners” written by Dr. René de Monchy, explaining and reaching out to fellow professionals, the bind they in which they find themselves, and what they can do about it.
Lastly Being a singer/songwriter, who’s writing a few protest songs at the moment, I particularly like the site’s vital Music and Laughter page. I’ve noticed that those of us aware, and in a leadership role of one sort or another in this pushback against government overreach, are feeling a bit challenged, to put it mildly. I’ve found having a spiritual practice, and maintaining a sense of humour perspective is vital in these challenging times. As the Chinese proverb goes, “May you live in interesting times”, I add, it doesn’t mean it’s easy. Thank you Dr. Matt, for taking the time to speak with me at our meetup a few months ago. Keep up the good work.
Dean Craft, of Wanaka, New Zealand, shares a new discovery of using an automotive tool called a brake vacuum pump plus, a “Foodsaver jar sealer”. You’ll want to use canning/preserving jars, available in most grocery stores. This is a fast and easy way to preserve foods. We hadn’t heard about this until Dean popped by Mountain Spirit yesterday and showed us.
You can purchase the brake vacuum pump, in NZ, here:
