My 14 yr-old son turned me onto “Yes Theory” some years ago. There motto is “Seek Discomfort”. If you’ve not heard of them or seen any of their vids, I highly suggest heading to their YouTube channel. Here’s their latest installment which is a stark reminder of how the world is one way, and the media tries to tell you it’s another.
Exploring World’s Strangest Border: A Country Inside a Country Inside a Country? Why? “When searching the globe for interesting places we always get drawn to these lines on the map that seem out of place little anomalies that tell us that something interesting must have happened there in the past we’ve flown around the world to investigate some of these anomalies before but in all of our travels we’ve never heard of one as unusual as this this unconventional spot on the map is an enclave inside an enclave the UAE inside of Oman which is inside of the UAE again like some sort of geographic Russian doll when we first heard about this we were obviously confused unusual borders like this are usually very tense but searching the internet for information didn’t yield many answers and seeing as we were already going to be in Oman for another.. :
“We [are] reminded so often of all of the bad there is so much so that we forget that this is our natural state to be generous to be kind and to be open, and I have to say that few places are as hospitable as the Middle East. And no place contrasts more in the reality on the ground versus what you’ll see in the news [than here]. Let’s continue breaking down these perceptions of each other, [and] refuse the divisive narrative that we’re fed, and always remain skeptical of someone trying to convince you otherwise.
The enemy isn’t across the border as these lovely people here have taught [us]. It it’s the ones are desperately trying to convince you that they are [the enemy when they’re are friends you just haven’t met yet].
By Peter Williams It took everyone by surprise. I only got wind of this when I saw the Taxpayers’ Union media release (I’ve copied it to the end of this email) at lunchtime today. My heart sank.
I appreciate that reasonable minds can differ on the urgency of climate change – but I think you’ll agree that sacrificing New Zealand’s economy for no material effect in emissions is the ultimate own goal.
In short the Government has just locked in the Ardern/Shaw anti-farming legacy, and signed New Zealand up for a brand new (2035) commitment that will see thousands of dollars for every man, woman, and child sent overseas for climate credits.
First some background.
You will recall that back in 2021, former Climate Change Minister James Shaw and then Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern flew to Glasgow and signed New Zealand up to a climate change/emissions target of a net reduction in emissions of 50 percent (compared to 2005) by 2030.
At the time, no meaningful economic analysis, public consultation, or debate occurred. In fact, the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment voiced their concerns saying “we are concerned that insufficient analysis has been undertaken to understand the fiscal and social impacts” of a 45 percent reduction target, let alone the 50 percent that Ardern and Shaw secretly agreed…
The politicians just took this decision because, in their gut, they just felt it was the right thing to do.
And what caused particular angst, was that the targets NZ signed up to include agricultural emissions (i.e. methane, or cow farts). Short of culling cows (and tanking New Zealand’s largest export industry), those emissions are impossible to avoid.
No other developed country faces the same problem. Because of our small population and disproportionate reliance on agriculture, New Zealand’s emissions makeup is more akin to a developing country, which, under the UN Paris Agreement, doesn’t have to cut emissions in the same way as we have signed up to.
Even if we could cut agricultural emissions, it would be pointless in terms of improving global warming: New Zealand’s agricultural sector is the most emissions-efficient in the world. Any calories/meat/milk-powder New Zealand doesn’t produce will be done elsewhere, and likely result in an overall increase in emissions.
These were the points made by the ‘groundswell’ farming protests, Federated Farmers, and even the National Party when they were in opposition!
To put the 50 percent net reduction target into perspective, half of New Zealand’s emissions relate to agriculture!
So that leaves non-agricultural emissions.
Thanks to Covid, in 2020 New Zealand shut down most of the economy to lockdown for months. Despite the Covid shutdown, official data† shows that emissions declined by only three percent that year!
So the idea New Zealand can or will get to a 50 percent reduction by 2030 is absolutely fanciful. To hit the 2030 target emissions would have to fall by five percent per year!
How much is the 2030 target going to cost households?
There are lots of variables that go into forecasting where New Zealand’s emissions are going to be in five year’s time (e.g. the strength of the economy, how many trees are planted, whether we get wet winters and hydro lakes get rain etc).
But what Ardern/Shaw signed us up for means that missing the target (and there is absolutely no doubt we will miss it) determines how much New Zealand is going to have to cough up and pay for international emission units.
Last year Treasury worked out what New Zealand is on the hook for. Are you sitting down?
Up to $24 billion is the latest official estimate for the 2030 deadline.
To put that into perspective, $24 billion is more than the current cost of NZ Super. $12,000 per household!
And that’s not even counting the cost of lost economic growth, higher energy costs, and lost exports.
I know these numbers are unbelievable, and it’s been something the Taxpayers’ Union has been struggling to put into perspective and to communicate how on Earth to raise the alarm about the seriousness of what New Zealand faces. It’s a dozen Dunedin Hospitals. Or 34 times larger than the total new spending allowance Nicola Willis has set for this year’s Government budget.
Because the payment isn’t due until 2030, it’s just outside the Treasury’s “forecast horizon” so doesn’t yet appear on any of the Government’s fiscals.
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that it’s Ardern and Shaw’s ticking time fiscal time bomb.
Late last night, Climate Change Minister Simon Watts announced that he is committing New Zealand to even harder targets for 2035!
Simon Watts is set to sign NZ up for a second eye-watering bill for 2035.
Once signed-up, it means New Zealand will have to pay a second time for a target that Christopher Luxon / the National Party have previously said is totally achievable!
It’s bad enough that New Zealand is hopelessly off track when it comes to meeting the existing 2030 target, and the $24 billion bill left by Ardern and Shaw, but to do it all over again is nothing short of economic sabotage.
Why haven’t the media covered this?
The media are in dire straits. Newsrooms are a fraction of the size they used to be, and those who are left are probably so young they either don’t understand the economics or are so committed to extreme views of ‘climate change mitigation at any cost’ that they just don’t care.
And, I’m sorry to be so blunt, but the only reason Simon Watts’ office would wait until 8:30pm on a Thursday night is so that the morning radio shows are already planned and there won’t be ‘breaking news’ style coverage.
It speaks volumes that Watts waited until after Parliament rose for the week, and with Parliament in recess next week, by the time political journos get back to work, the news will have moved on.
As far as I can see, with the exception of the Taxpayers’ Union, Federated Farmers, and other watchdog and industry groups, this announcement has been totally missed!
If there is any chance for the economy to get back on track, we must ensure Christopher Luxon, Winston Peters, and David Seymour, overrule Simon Watts and set a realistic target.
While the USA has pulled out, and other countries hedge their bets, why is Luxon’s Government doubling down?
Last week, the US pulled out of the Paris Agreement, and with the UK’s ‘net zero’ intentions in question (their Labour Government is ‘going for growth’ too!), it makes no sense for the New Zealand government to sign up for a second round of ‘ambitious’, sorry, ‘impossible’ targets if they are serious about growing the economy.
Simon Watts has got this one wrong. Introducing more ambitious targets to smash the economy harpoons Christopher Luxon’s attempts to ‘Go for Growth’.Take 30 seconds to tell the Government that.
But something needs to be done about climate change, right?
New Zealand is already one of the most emissions-efficient countries in the world. More than 80 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources. Our farmers are the most emissions-efficient at what they do. We already have an emissions trading scheme that covers more greenhouse gas emissions than any other country in the world. Of course, we need to keep up the momentum, but it’s not right to say we’re not already ‘doing our bit’.
Paying the rest of the world billions of dollars serves to make New Zealand poor – it doesn’t serve to solve global warming when the US, China, and Russia are not part of the same agreement/commitment.
Christopher Luxon gets this – well he did when he was Opposition Leader anyway.
The $24 billion dollar cheque could buy 12 Dunedin Hospitals. It could build 16 Transmission Gully Motorways. It could build 40,000 new school classrooms. It could even be used to fund more in-country climate initiatives!
In a country cancelling infrastructure, health, and education investment due to the fiscal crisis can we really afford to burn billions on an unobtainable climate target?
Make no mistake, I want Christopher Luxon and his Government to succeed and deliver for New Zealand. I know the Taxpayers’ Union are committed to sensible climate change mitigation policy. But if last night’s decision stands, Mr Luxon (and the country) is destined to fail. We can’t let that happen. Email the Prime Minsiter and Party Leaders
This is the media release the Taxpayers’ Union sent out reacting to Watts’ late night announcement:
MEDIA RELEASE SIMON WATTS JUST HARPOONED THE PRIME MINISTER’S ‘GOING FOR GROWTH’ PLAN
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
At 8pm last night – timed, presumably, to avoid pick up on the morning news shows – Climate Change Minister Simon Watts released New Zealand’s 2035 Nationally Determined Contribution to combatting climate change under the Paris Agreement.
The target, which locks unavoidable agricultural emissions into New Zealand’s international targets, are even more ‘ambitious’ than the 2030 targets made when Jacinda Ardern/James Shaw flew to Glasgow. They will cost future taxpayers literally tens of billions of dollars in penalties.
Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director, Jordan Williams, said “Ardern’s 50% emissions reduction by 2030 target was ludicrous. Treasury estimates that in just five years taxpayers will be on the hook for up to $24 billion – that’s $12,000 per New Zealand household. The Government has now signed us up for another bill for five years later.”
“To not only lock this cost in, but go even harder for 2035 is economic sabotage. Watts and his Cabinet colleagues are not going to be around in a decade to have to pay the bill, but are doubling down on Paris at the very time our trading partners are pulling back.”
“Half of New Zealand’s emissions are agricultural. To achieve the 51-55% reduction Simon Watts has put NZ on the hook for would mean we either must shut down parts of our agricultural sector, or just about everything else. To say this is fantasy does Mickey Mouse a disservice.”
“The only way New Zealand avoids paying tens of billions in international carbon credits is if every square inch of Otago and Southland is planted in pine. But even the Government’s own experts advise that pathway is not credible.”
“So this decision will see New Zealanders having to stump up billions more to buy international credits in a decade’s time.”
“The Taxpayers’ Union has long supported sensible emissions reductions using our world leading Emissions Trading Scheme. But such a scheme can only operate with realistic targets and collective international action. Sacrificing our economic prosperity at the altar of good intentions when other countries are pulling back is nothing short of economic sabotage.”
“Minister Todd McClay was on radio this morning talking about how the Government want to ‘power up’ agricultural exports. He’s sure in for a shock.”
“Meanwhile, Simon Watts has just harpooned the Prime Minister’s ‘Going for Growth’ plan. Mr Luxon, Mr Peters, and Mr Seymour need to step in and overrule this decision.”
United Free Press founder Kerry Murray, originally from New Zealand, residing in the UK, says, “If you can help find the funding, let’s get a team, collaborate, and run with it! Murray, a successful businessman and professional photographer has a vision to help solve the mainstream press problem which he sees as having a lack of ethics, too much censorship and a parroting of agendas.
His vision has been to create an ethical worldwide press association. In fact, he’s already done it – United Free Press which had a stunning web presence and a roster of serious freedom journalists who were bound by a code of ethics. Murray’s execution of his vision has been brilliant. But like many in the freedom movement, his efforts were all volunteer based. With a family to feed, and work commitments, and UFP being a solo effort, Murray has not been able to maintain the effort and expenses to keep the website, membership cards and membership lists running.
I used to work for United Press International in my twenties, and I see UFP as a great uniting alternative to the bought-off press of days gone by. In fact, if you put on your ”long-range vision glasses”, you can see, like I do, a possibility of UFP having a huge impact on not only our freedom press, but the world, for generations to come. I believe in Kerry’s vision and how he’s created UFP thus far. (Also at the time of this writing, the UFP website’s archive (hosted by what’s commonly called The Wayback Machine) is temporarily offline as well due to maintenance down, but I’m including Currently the website is offline and there’s work to do. I’m writing this to create interest with the freedom press, and a reach-out to potential funders to get that website up and running again including all aspects of UFP, and more. There has already been some positive response here in New Zealand, and from our own NZ Media Collective members. If you’d like more info on UFP or how to donate, get in touch: randall@mtnsprit.org
By Randall Richards Performing Music to Protest & Educate: Past, Present, & Where to From Here?
When I started a couple of volunteer music venues as listening rooms which I named “Coffeehouses”, one in Leavenworth, Washington and a second, in Sunapee New Hampshire (which is still going strong), Little did I know the history of the term CoffeeHouse.
I recently happened to stumble upon this interesting definition of the term, but never realized its origin when I had created those coffeehouses in the states. Interesting how things turn out: “GI Coffeehouses” were a consequential part of the anti-war movement during the Vietnam War era, particularly the resistance to the war within the U.S. military. They were mainly organized by civilian anti-war activists as a method of supporting anti-war and anti-military sentiment
. The FTA Roadshow was explicitly created in the ’70’s as a counter to Bob Hope’s pro-war USO tour. Original cast, from left: Gary Goodrow, Jane Fonda, Donald Sutherland, Peter Boyle, Dick Gregory, and Barbara Dane at the Haymarket GI Coffeehouse near Fort Bragg.
We started the first venue in Washington State because I had been a professional pianoplayer for years, and budding singer/songwriter on the guitar. I wanted to perform in a supportive listening room environment.
I had taken note of one such venue in a Sedona, AZ bookstore. Since I could only find bars and pubs, where venues treated the artists as background musicians, I wanted no part of that.So I decided to give it a shot by approaching a local hotel owner who was willing to let me set up on Friday nights in his unused conference space and stage in Leavenworth, WA. More on that winning formula in another piece.
New Zealand: Fast forward to New Zealand, 2021 in the thick of mandates, and other general draconian measures pushed upon the population, based on a injection that was neither safe nor effective. We started having occasional bonfire music jams, and a like-minded Saturday Market, primarily for our freedom loving community (but all were welcome) in the Upper Clutha region of the South Island.
About six months ago I decided to apply to be one of the 16 international chapters of Jam For Freedom, backed by Eric Clapton. We were welcomed with open arms.
We have yet to hold our inaugural event. I’m still in the process of reaching out to additional musicians in the country who have been part of either the Wellington Protests, were featured in The River of Freedom and We Came Here for Freedom documentaries. Once we have a critical mass of freedom loving musicians, we’ll create an event,
We’ll also create traveling Jam For Freedom (Coffeehouse type roadshow), starting with the South Island based on the Coffeehouse formula I had started in the U.S., but simply a mobile version. That means a featured performer, followed by an open mic, a “trained” listening room audience, and passing the hat for the musicians, venue hire, and roadshow expenses,). I have a van, a waterproof trailer for the music gear, and just need some JFF branding for the vehicle and a stage backdrop.
Vietnam: My family and I just toured of Vietnam, and I’m now writing a few pieces, not about the tourist side, but the impact of the war museums, the wonderful people we met, the stories I was told, and most recently, a book I’m reading called Understanding Vietnam explaining not only the war, but the deep seated psyche of the Vietnamese. During a visit to the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Min City, I found these images on display:
Yo koi Kumiko sings to solders in the artillery battleground in Quang Binh Provence, 10 December, 1973“A rally against US aggression in Vietnam from Japan’s Beheiren, Tokyo, 1972
This might be the time to premise some the articles I’m working on about Vietnam’s view of the US Occupation of Vietnam. They call it the “American War”, by the way. I went to Vietnam with some ingrained knee-jerk conditioning, courtesy of our government’s controlled media in the states. That paradigm quickly dissolved. Of course I could see Vietnam’s plugging their side of the story as well. But I do have discernment, and will talk about that in later posts.
Although there is a history of protest music from the US side I assume there’s more about Vietnam’s side, protesting war. However, this was the first time I it was on my radar. The historians will write about such protest songs being written now, not only about anti-war, but about various nefarious agendas that aim to curb our freedoms, hurt our children and enslave the world’s population. Music is one of the best ways to call out the troublesome behaviors of those powerful people in charge who obviously don’t have our best interests in mind.
Comedy is a another avenue to opening the dialogue where direct debate and conversation often fail to bridge the gap between different paradigms. Jim Breuer’s Somebody Had to Say It, is a case in point.
So wish us luck with our Jam For Freedom adventure here in New Zealand! If you’re a musician get in touch! If you’re a friend of mine, who happens to be living stateside, or elsewhere, I also invite you to join in the conversation on our Jam For Freedom Telegram chat or the International Telegram group. Even though the NZ chat is focused for us here in New Zealand, I feel, the more the merrier. We could use the moral support! Did you guys hear that… Kirtana, Neal Fox, Scot Bergeron, Conspiracy Music Guru?
THANKS TO: A special thanks goes to those New Zealand musicians who performed at our protest on Parliament grounds and were featured in those documentaries mentioned above, and to those who have joined our Jam For Freedom NZ Telegram Group. Also thanks to all the steering committee and volunteer members of the West and East Coffeehouses who have worked hard to deliver live music in a listening room for so many years.
A special acknowledgement again to Neal Fox for being ahead of the curve, and for his unflinching creative stance in music compositions and film-making productions, and sticking it to the “all powerful”. You can see his work here.

By Randall Richards I’m from a state in the US which has “Live Free or Die” as the state motto on the license plate. When I legally transferred registration of a van I’d purchased in The Netherlands to New Hampshire, I still drove that van throughout the European Alpine countries, ski touring, climbing, and playing music. The talk on the street was this formation a new European Union currency. Some of the locals were jittery, for good reason. So complete with the US license plates I’d drive into small villages and cities alike. I raised a few eyebrows, and almost got in a few problems because of the reactions I received with the motto displayed on the back of the van.
Since those days, until today, I’ve felt that New Hampshire residents probably don’t really live by that motto, much less understand it. Today this story surfaced of a New Hampshire man standing by his right to free speech. The interaction is being praised as a model for how citizens can assert their rights when confronted by federal agents, especially in cases of potential entrapment. Here’s the the story:
Watch: FBI Agents Called Out During Visit to Law-Abiding Citizen Regarding a Meme Post
Intel agency foot soldiers regret approaching man over First Amendment-protected activity. A man filmed two U.S. federal agents as they approached him to ask about posts he’d made on social media, leading to them being publicly shamed for targeting a First Amendment-protected activity.
In a viral video, X user Jeremy Kauffman filmed as two plain-clothes agents approached his front porch requesting he not film them, as the citizen asked for their full names while notifying them he intended to post the interaction online.
“The FBI visited my house today for free speech acts they knew were not crimes. You can see the shame on their faces. This is the Democratic regime manifest.”
Jeremy Kauffman (@jeremykauffman) September 16, 2024 “All I want to do is talk to you about a post that was made,” one of the unidentified agents told Kaufman after showing a badge alongside a holstered sidearm.
Kaufman went on to speculate the agents’ yearly average salary was likely over $100K, before telling them it was a waste of taxpayer money. “Talking about burning a couple hundred dollars an hour just here, let alone all the time you guys are spending…to investigate something that you know is not against the law, right?” the man told the agents, who repeatedly requested the man stop filming them.
After appearing thoroughly embarrassed, the agents eventually departed while the man chided them, saying, “You know Americans that believe in the Constitution think you’re laughable. You go home and you think about what you did today. Go home and think about it. You coward.” It’s unclear what social media post prompted the visit.| The interaction is being praised as a model for how citizens can assert their rights when confronted by federal agents, especially in cases of potential entrapment. By Randall RIchards I remember, some years ago, I made many attempts to see subliminal messages on television. I was told if you open and close your eyes at a fast rate you can sometimes catch words and phrases within the frames of shows, ads and the news. Try as I might I couldn’t see anything.
Years later my wife watched something on TVNZ Livestream, which she never does. She just wanted a diversion from our normal intake of “Truth Media” (as opposed to OFM, or “Old Fashioned Media”). She was watching a standard series of some sort, and suddenly saw words flash across the screen. I don’t recall what she saw, but she said it was rather disturbing, similar to “You are worthless” or the like. She decided to do a little research and this link popped up about a complaint made in 2008 to the NZ Broadcasting Standards Authority by a fellow named Micheal Bennett against TVNZ.
Mr Bennett said in the complaint that he was watching an episode of Eating Media Lunch when he stated that the message “Kill Yourself Now” had flashed onto the screen in a subliminal manner. He contended that the message had only lasted for “3 or 4 frames of the 25 in each second” and that “this method of subliminal advertising” had been banned world-wide.” The complaint which can viewed here, stated, “During an episode of Eating Media Lunch, broadcast on TV2 at 10pm on 2 November 2007, the message “Kill Yourself Now” was displayed on the screen just before the programme’s opening credits. The message was only visible for a fraction of a second.”
TVNZ assessed the complaint under Standards 1, 2, 8 and 9, and guideline 8b of the Free-to-Air Television Code of Broadcasting Practice. which are:
Standard 1 Good Taste and Decency In the preparation and presentation of programmes, broadcasters are responsible for maintaining standards which are consistent with the observance of good taste and decency. Standard 2 Law and Order In the preparation and presentation of programmes, broadcasters are responsible for maintaining standards which are consistent with the maintenance of law and order. Standard 8 Programme Information Broadcasters are responsible for ensuring that programme information and structure does not deceive or disadvantage the viewer. Guideline 8b Broadcasters should not use the process known as “subliminal perception” or any other technique which attempts to convey information to the viewer by transmitting messages below or near the threshold of normal awareness. Standard 9 Children’s Interests During children’s normally accepted viewing times broadcasters are required, in the preparation and presentation of programmes, to consider the interests of child viewers.
The complaints filed by Bennett specifically were: “standards of good taste and decency, law and order, programme information and children’s interests had been breached. He argued that the message “Kill Yourself Now” had flashed onto the screen in a subliminal manner. He contended that the message had only lasted for “3 or 4 frames of the 25 in each second” and that “this method of subliminal advertising” had been banned world-wide.
“He had been deeply offended by the message and believed that suggesting suicide was both irresponsible and illegal. He considered that subliminal messaging was a powerful tool for implanting ideas into a viewer’s subconscious.”
“Bennett pointed out that the episode was available on TVNZ’s website and that this meant children and teenagers with access to a computer could watch the programme at any time. He stated that “children and teenagers are vulnerable and this sort of subliminal message may well push a depressed young person over the edge”.
And you’ll never guess what the decision by the Broadcasting Standards Authority was. All of the following issues were “not upheld” in other words, they BSA could not find fault with TVNZ: Standard 1 (good taste and decency) – contextual factors – not upheld Standard 2 (law and order) – item did not encourage viewers to break the law or promote, condone or glamorise criminal activity – not upheld Standard 8 (programme information) – action taken by the broadcaster sufficient – not upheld Standard 9 (children’s interests) – standard not applicable – not upheld
In short the Authority ignored Bennett’s complaint, based on the laughable defense of TVNZ which stated:
TVNZ stated that “the message had been broadcast after the introduction featuring the “coming up section” and that it was intended to be an ironic and humorous comment* on the material that was going to follow. It pointed out that during different episodes of the programme other messages of “the same ilk” had flashed up before the beginning credits including “napalm the pakeha”, “mysky = small penis” and “Tame Iti = Bin Laden?”. adding, “The broadcaster argued that the phrase was not meant to be threatening or aggressive “nor was it meant to imply that the viewer should kill themselves”. It considered that the phrase was ironic and that it would be understood as a joke by regular viewers of Eating Media Lunch. TVNZ believed that material of this nature was acceptable in the context of an AO-rated programme, which was preceded by a warning and broadcast at 10pm. It declined to uphold the good taste and decency complaint.”
TVNZ argued that “for a programme to breach this standard it must actively promote disrespect for the law. It reiterated its argument that the programme was well-known for its satirical comedy and that it often contained footage and behaviour that was challenging. It maintained that the phrase was not meant to be taken as a directive but was intended to be a humorous comment on the material that was to come. The broadcaster believed that the phrase did not promote disrespect for the law. It declined to uphold the Standard 2 complaint.
In conclusion, through first-hand eyewitness accounts (my wife included), subliminal messaging does still exist, certainly in NZ. Thanks to the internet, facts don’t go away for those that are willing to do a little research. Again, quoting Mark Twain, “A lie gets half-way around the world before Truth gets a chance to put its pants on.” I’m rooting for truth. *Emphasis added by author
The question you should be asking yourself is, “Will I watch this interview with an open mind?”, not “Is Tucker Carlson a traitor?” The media wants you to think he’s a traitor, but as you might have the feeling in your gut, that something’s note quite right in the country, and the world, that we’re at this turning point, you might want to listen to the interview to hear what the US govt, and it’s media are not telling you.
“We’re in Moscow to interview Putin”
Here’s the transcript of the video above
“We’re in Moscow tonight. We’re here to interview the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. We’ll be doing that soon. There are risks to conducting an interview like this, obviously. So we’ve thought about it carefully over many months. Here’s why we’re doing it. First, because it’s our job. We’re in journalism. Our duty is to inform people. Two years into a war that’s reshaping the entire world, most Americans are not informed. They have no real idea what’s happening in this region, here in Russia or 600 miles away in Ukraine. But they should know, they’re paying for much of it in ways they might not fully yet perceive. The war in Ukraine is a human disaster. It’s left hundreds of thousands of people dead. An entire generation of young Ukrainians. And has depopulated the largest country in Europe. But the long-term effects are even more profound. This war has utterly reshaped the global military and trade alliances, and the sanctions that followed have as well. And in total, they have upended the world economy. The post-World War 2 economic order, the system that guaranteed prosperity in the West for more than 80 years, is coming apart very fast, and along with it, the dominance of the US dollar. These are not small changes. They are history altering developments. They will define the lives of our grandchildren. Most of the world understands this perfectly well. They can see it. Ask anyone in Asia or the Middle East what the future looks like. And yet the populations of the English-speaking countries seem mostly unaware. They think that nothing has really changed. And they think that because no one has told them the truth. Their media outlets are corrupt. They lie to their readers and viewers, and they do that mostly by omission. For example, since the day the war in Ukraine began, American media outlets have spoken to scores of people from Ukraine, and they’ve done scores of interviews with Ukrainian President Zelensky. We ourselves have put in a request for an interview with Zelensky. We hope he accepts. But the interviews he’s already done in the United States are not traditional interviews. They are fawning pep sessions, specifically designed to amplify Zelensky’s demand that the U.S. enter more deeply into a war in Eastern Europe and pay for it. That is not journalism. It is government propaganda, propaganda of the ugliest kind, the kind that kills people. At the same time, our politicians and media outlets have been doing this, promoting a foreign leader like he’s a new consumer brand, not a single Western journalist has bothered to interview the president of the other country involved in this conflict, Vladimir Putin. Most Americans have no idea why Putin invaded Ukraine, or what his goals are now. They’ve never heard his voice. That’s wrong. Americans have a right to know all they can about a war they’re implicated in, and we have the right to tell them about it because we are Americans, too. Freedom of speech is our birthright. We were born with the right to say what we believe. That right cannot be taken away no matter who is in the White House. But they’re trying anyway. Almost three years ago, the Biden administration illegally spied on our text messages and then leaked the contents to their servants in the news media. They did this in order to stop a Putin interview that we were planning. Last month, we’re pretty certain they did exactly the same thing once again, but this time we came to Moscow anyway. We are not here because we love Vladimir Putin. We are here because we love the United States. And we want it to remain prosperous and free. We paid for this trip ourselves. We took no money from any government or group, nor are we charging people to see the interview. It is not behind a paywall. Anyone can watch the entire thing shot live to tape and unedited on our website, TuckerCarlson.com. Elon Musk, to his great credit, has promised not to suppress or block this interview once we posted on his platform X, and we’re grateful for that. Western governments, by contrast, will certainly do their best to censor this video on other, less-principled platforms, because that’s what they do. They are afraid of information they can’t control. But you have no reason to be afraid of it. We are not encouraging you to agree with what Putin may say in this interview, but we are urging you to watch it. You should know as much as you can. And then, like a free citizen and not a slave, you can decide for yourself. Thanks.”

On that same episode, Jones also played the audio version of Carlson’s recent speech. These are two audio files you might want to share with anyone awake, to help them with a sense of perspective, to semi-awake people to help them over the fence, and even to those asleep as a Red Pill.
