By: Randall Richards, Mountain Spirit Media Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, the oldest running podcast on Youtube/Internet just sat down with Tucker Carlson. To be clear, the powerful people in the world don’t want this sort of thing happening. Uygur is a classic liberal, and Carlson of the right, (that is if you still buy into the labels). This interview and the Youtube comments sent shivers up my spine because we are starting to see the veil lifted. Whether we have blue hair or not, we’re starting to see we have some big things in common, like anti-war, and, that it’s more important to put some of our differences aside to tackle the big issues. One of those issues, the least of which, is our survival. Here are a few excerpts of Uygur’s opening statement.
Tucker Carlson started the interview by asking, “Of all the things you could do to infuriate your audience, this is probably at the top of the list. You don’t need to do this. Why are you doing this?”
Cenk Uygur opened with, “There’s a couple of reasons why. Number one, I want to take yes for an answer. You’re anti-war. We’ve been anti-war for 20 years. Carlson Responds, I have not been. So bless you for that. I also want to break down the barriers of Republicans versus Democrats, right wing versus left wing. I think that it’s used to divide us. I think that the powerful already have an incredible elite team. They’re very, very organized, and they do it through donations to the politicians, et cetera. But the American people are not organized. We have built two teams, but those two teams, the Republicans and the Democrats, have been trained to fight each other instead of fighting up. Exactly. When you split the population that way, you take away all of their energy because you have them use their energy against one another rather than against you. It’s actually brilliant.”
Uygur Continued, “It’s done on a meta level in every way. Also, by By the way, on a global level, Christians versus Muslims. Two billion here, two billion there. Make sure you guys are fighting one another. Hey, look at that. We’ve used up all your energy fighting one another and not looking up.”
Then he broached the big one, “Then, of course, the third issue is Israel. That’s what I want to talk to you a lot about today, I hope. I think that that’s an animating issue for a number of reasons, not because it’s the end all be all, but because it is deeply symbolic. Whether it’s Big Pharma or Big Oil or APAC, they are buying our politicians. And so you’re a rare person saying that. I’m a person saying that. And the mainstream media works against us, and they try to shut us up and say, Don’t tell anybody about money in politics. Yes. No, these politicians are honest and honorable people having debates. They’re not having any debates. They’re cashing checks. And so I want all of America to know that. And at the end of the day, Tucker, if we don’t unite as Americans, the powerful are going to rule us forever.”
But he explained, “It’s a difficult one for me because I grew up in a town that was about 50% Jewish, so I have tons of Jewish friends. I have Jewish family. I have a nephew and niece who are Jewish. I don’t want to make people uncomfortable, and I don’t want this to be about the That’s crazy. What I tell people all the time is, Hey, listen, my friend Dave, my friend Jack, Masoud never called him an Asperian. Netanyahu was never like, Hey, should we take 53% of guys? What do you think, Dave? That’s not how it works. Anyone who’s got that intent, I’m not interested in. You’re not going to have me as an ally. It’s not going to work out. I have Jewish family, I have Jewish friends. I’ll never sell them out. I And the other thing about Jewish Americans is they’re Americans, and I believe in a united America. So you’re for America. I love you, and I protect you.”
He went further to explain, “I’m the one trying to stop the killing. I’m for nonviolence. In fact, I’m religiously for nonviolence. If I have any religion at all, it’s nonviolence. My hero is Martin Luther King and Gandhi and Mandela. I say, do not do any violence to anyone. It would be, in fact, if someone is doing violence, they’re against us. You just heard me say it. I say it a thousand times. I love Jewish people. This is not about the Jews. But this country wants us to pay for a genocide. They just don’t want to pay for a genocide. They listen to all that and they go, Now everybody understands that Jake Huber is an anti-Semite who hates Jews and is like an immoral person. If you’re not pro-genocide, you’re anti-Jewish. No, no, no, don’t say that. Don’t say that because you’re actually going to get my Jewish friends hurt. When you say your anti-genocide means you’re anti-Jewish, that equates Judaism with genocide. Don’t, don’t. I don’t know anything that drives up anti-Semitism more than that. But back to the original injustice, and then we’ll get back to more and more gaslighting, because the gaslighting is another perfect symbol of what mainstream media does and establishment media does.”
This is clearly another turning point that brings, what I used to call, the “Global Elite”, down a few notches. There were other clear turning points. Comedy is a clear bellwether, and when Jim Breuer did “Somebody Had to Say It,” we were laughing at the emperor who had no clothes. Of course the recent release of the Epstein files by the US DOJ is another turning point. But if no one is held accountable, I fear for the future of civilization, because really bad people doing really bad things need to held accountable. If they are not, we descend.
Uygur made an stunning analogy of how we’ve been deceived. I won’t include it here, but it’s hard to unknow it once you’ve heard it. I have a feeling it will go done in the history books, that is, if the people win.
The thing that really got to me, in a good way, were the comments about this interview. I’m including some of the more powerful ones here:
– These two are NOT suicidal
– I’m so not a Cenk fan, but this interview has changed my mind. This conversation needed to happen and I learned a lot.
-This is the conversation that the elite have been dreading.
– I swear my eyes have been opened I’ve only ever heard cenk in sound bites and thought he was an imbecile but as of completing this conversation I am shocked and humbled as to how much I agree with this man. What a terrific American who I’m proud to call a fellow countryman.
– Left and Right finding common ground, I dig it.
– Most unexpected crossover of the year award goes to …
– This is what the establishment fears
– Tucker breaking ALL THE RULES! Seriously my frickin hero
– It’s happening guys. The Left and the Right are coming together to diminish the common enemy.
– The unity i am seeing in the comments is so heartening. We need to stop looking left and right at pointless culture war issues, and start looking up.
Lastly, I encourage those in the “Freedom Community” both here, and worldwide, to focus on what we have in common. Were there mistakes made during the past few years? Yes, certainly here in NZ. But any time people come together, we’ll have differences on how we do things, on what we think. After my teaching at Outward Bound for 15 years, the most important thing I came away with is that “We embrace each other not in spite of our difference but because of our diversity.” For more on the subject of building true community, see M Scott Pecks, a Different Drum which was a cornerstone of my teachings at Outward Bound. As I write this, It’s dawning on me that the teachings of OB founder Kurt Hahn, and that of Peck, not to mention Eckhart Tolle, have led me to this point that in order for us to survive as a species, we have to come together. At Outward Bound, the goal wasn’t necessarily to get to the top of the mountain. It was to get to the top as a healthy team of individuals, of a true community. As the Zen saying goes, “If not now, when?”
By Randall Richards, Mountain Spirit Media Author of “Cell 22”, Monica Smit, has been on tour in New Zealand since the 10th of January and is still going strong on the North Island with more events until the wrap-up event on 22nd of February in Hamilton. I recently saw her speak in Wanaka and found her presentation heartfelt, informative and inspiring.
I first saw Monica on an online Zoom call when when she spoke to members of New Zealand Rising’s founding meeting. We had a heady collection leadership from throughout New Zealand, who were passionate about creating a directory of organizations concerned with government overreach. In attendance were lawyers, teachers, doctors, farmers, the alternative press, psychologists, leadership from some Māori communities, former TV news anchors, former military leadership, nurses and leadership from a fluoridefree.nz. Monica provided invaluable insight to the group during her talk. She spoke with confidence and credibility which helped our group brainstorm how to form New Zealand Rising. And she didn’t disappoint when she spoke in Wanaka. She’s also the author of Cell 22, where she goes deep into her upbringing, and challenges she’s overcome. She’s speaks from the heart and is genuine.
In her own words, Smit says about her tour, “My mission is for you to leave the event feeling connected, empowered and inspired. I will talk about the lessons I learnt on the front line of Victoria’s pushback movement, what I think we should be focusing on now, my past and current court cases and more. Afterwards, I’d love to hug and connect with as many freedom lovers as possible.
Here is a recap of what she covered at her talk in Wanaka Smit opened with a plea – “Censorship laws, in Australia will start to get tough, [and, I don’t plan on changing my plan] So, when I do go back to jail, can you please share my story? If you see people like me, share their story to help people wake up.” She then started by asking the audience members, what they do to offer service to the community, such as tea dispensary, hypnotherapy, selling lamb and beef etc, and added, “I mention this to showcase that we can support each other, so when the $#!t hits the fan, we can be creative businesswise,, that’s what communities do that really thrive. The point is, to think outside the box to support people [in your community] if you have the resources.
Smit started with “Her Story”, “What I’ve learned the past 6 years, campaigns and going forward is that I’ve become an expert in the freedom movement. If anyone knows what the characteristic of our people is, it would be me.” adding “I get inspired when I meet people like you and it allows me to stay hopeful. Sometimes it’s really hard to stay positive, and we’re losing a lot of the time.” She stated, “I have met many people [over the past few years], and I come here to get inspired by you as well.
“In Aug 2020, I started Reignite Democracy – [Early on,] OK, we might have worn a mask, but after 2-3 months, we thought “this is weird , something is going on.” We all were generally law abiding citizens. But they made us rebels – it backfired. We tend to want to see the best in people. ‘Maybe they are trying to protect us.’ But why are the brothels open and the churches closed? The “common sense” part of us was exploding, It wasn’t making sense. So, I came up with an idea of a livestream online protest. I promised the audience I would collate the data and send it to parliament in Victoria. I started a FB page, and this livestream, and got 4k comments. Timing was everything – I then sent an email to all the members of parliament. I sent them 4k data, and I was shocked that not one of them replied. So, that led to my driving around Australia in a big bus with messages and graphics about Prime Minister Daniel Andrews all over it. That ended up with the police drug testing the driver, road blocks, etc, We were attending a protest and the police sent someone to find something, anything, that could slow us down and hobble us. So, in the end, they found 2 seatbelts that had a bit of frayed material. From the bus tour, it didn’t take long for Andrews to know who I was.”
“Then, there was a protest with 400 police and 10 or so people. [On that day] I had declared that I was a citizen journalist and one of the policeman said “You have to go home,” I said, “No I don’t.” and I got arrested 3 times in one day. I was wondering, “What are they doing behind closed doors?’ “If they do this to me and I’m in front of cameras, what else is going on?”. I ended becoming the face of the anti-lockdown movements in Australia.”
“Over the next year, I found ways to do things with loopholes. I would promote every single protest with a poster, If I wanted people to go visit members of Parliament, [we’d try to talk with them during] their lunch, [to address the serious regressions of our freedoms.] They were charging people with incitement, “for inciting people to break covid restrictions”. None of the charges went to trial, I knew this could happen, [that someone could get arrested] but, we all have this “line in the sand”, and we [just] don’t care anymore. [I predict] a lot more people in Australia will see this sort of thing happening again soon. Then, there was an extension of the lockdowns and I promoted a protest of these extended lockdowns. [So I was arrested, again.] I was in the police interview for about 12 hrs., Before that incident, I happened to have a dream about getting arrested, I told my partner at the time about the dream, and that it was a warning. I dreamt that I said NO to the bail conditions, that I really didn’t have a choice, It wasn’t even a hard decision, it wasn’t even a decision.”
“So, I went to prison for not agreeing to saying [anything controversial about] “COVID” [The authorities said] I had to take everything off my website that had to do with COVID. At that time, we were the biggest pushback against the [authorities] . It was perfect timing for them to get rid of me. I didn’t sign those conditions, I was in insolation for 22 days for refusing to take the PCR test. When I was in prison, I came to the realisation that the book I was working on, was just about to get way better. They gave me 22days of interrupted time to work on this second half of my book. It achieved just the opposite of what they wanted to do. Without that story of prison, I wouldn’t have the credibility that I feel I have now. I pled “Not guilty”, They then got a warrant, I had to give them all the PW’s and database, They wanted everything – If you don’t comply with a warrant, it’s an indictable offense. Then, two days later they dropped all the charges. They were just trying to get something, anything. It didn’t work out for them. In my court case, I won that two of the three arrests were unlawful and I’m appealing that I had to pay 250,000 for the court case,”
“My family and I are used to being outside the box. During the lockdowns, my church was doing secret weddings. I was surrounded by rebels at that time. I really had great support – I didn’t have the losses that you [in this audience, probably] have had, with the loss friendships, of connection with friend and family. [I suggest that] you don’t compare yourself with other activists, Do stuff in silence and and make a difference. I’ve met a lot of people [contributing in their own way.] It’s what makes the way we are. It’s our upbringing, not watching MSM, There is a characteristic that we all have in common, is that we care. That same person that kicked you out of the grocery store or library during the mandates, that you still care about them. That character [trait, though] can be used to wear you down. There are so many things! Every day there’s a new problem. But there’s a way we can minimize the effort [it takes to affect change]. [Say to yourself,] “Will I enjoy the project, will it suit my skills and will it have impact? Manage your expectations, work smarter, not harder. Working in these communities [concerned with government overreach] is super important. Cause the globalists hate that like minded people getting together. (“SMART Analogy)”
Monica then put it bluntly, “Not everyone is ready to wake up. Not only that, not everyone is worth the effort.” She continued, “I call them “horses” because you can lead a horse to water… Is it time to spend your energy on them? Some people you can wake up, but if a COVID like thing of happens again you only need 5% of the energy [to make a change] – It’s about the right timing. Those people will come around when something tragically happens. [And importantly,] when people “wake up”, they’ll need our support and forgiveness. Don’t shove it in their faces.”
“Social media is telling us we’re the minority – but that’s not what I’m seeing. [Most] everybody hates the government. It feels to me there’s a revolution brewing, but the media doesn’t want to tell you. You’d be surprised how many people I encounter that are awake. All of us speaking our truth – When those people, to keep their their jobs, are keeping quiet, andthey just assume that their co-workers in their office are all woke, how do you know unless you’re questioning?”
Monica told a wonderful story of someone she met on the plane who was clearly on the opposite stance on things. But Smit tested it out with a conversation and by listening to them.. She said, “If you respect them, if you wait before making a comment or judgement, you may make some headway”, adding, “We don’t have to know everything about everything, when in conversation. “Online, you always get more views when you’re angry – positive stuff doesn’t get as many views, [but stay positive’]. They want us to lose hope. But let’s not let them have the satisfaction of that. [Also, keep in mind that] 70% of Twitter content is robots.” “There is a political solution – So much money and energy [to run for office], and we’re churning though people, [that get burned out in trying to change the system.] But what if the last option is, we “take back” a party. If you get fifty one seats, and there are already fifty in place, you can have real power [to affect change].”
“The freedom family is depicted in a certain way [by the old media], but we’re just normal people. Having met so many of you, when you see propaganda that we are a certain way, we are simply not that way. [But also, in the freedom movement], there’s a lot of infighting. Why do we infight a lot? I believe it’s because our morals are set in concrete. But, when stuff hits the fan again, those differences will go away. There was no infighting whatsoever, during lockdown – we all worked together. That will happen again. The struggle is real, and when stuff happens again, [remember that] there will be those that will need our understanding.”
Moncia Smit continues to speak on New Zealand’s North Island until her last NZ event on 22nd February. You can see the full schedule here.

By Randall Richards Wanaka New Zealand is currently hosting Gay Pride Week. Neighboring Queenstown has had a similar event for years. The thing I noticed about the wording of their promotional writeup on Facebook is it made me think, “Hey wait a minute, they’re describing how we feel.” And, who are “we”? WE are all those in New Zealand who bore the brunt of draconian measures to enforce vaccination passports where our prime minister actually admitted that there would be two classes of people, those vaxxed and those that weren’t. Those who followed the rules would be afforded all the benefits of going along with the plan. Those that resisted, would suffer. Suffice it to say, Ardern will not weather well in the history books.
Here’s the post I saw tonight on Facebook:
“I couldn’t be more excited to welcome you all and see our community come together to celebrate and connect. Central Lakes Trust, The Rainbow Legacy Fund, Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust, Queenstown Lakes District Council, Outlet Camp Wānaka, Francesca, TomTom, Big Fig, Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, just to name a few.”
Then a neighbor posted in the comment section: “Wanaka does not need this. Jesus Christ, what ever happened to Tradie Week?”
Here is my comment in the thread: I gotta add my own thoughts as well. I’m not here to say whether we need or don’t need this event. – I’m totally for gay rights. But this post begs the question, what about another suppressed group that needs a coming out event? So gather round, and hear me out: Having been mandated out of libraries, barber shops, restaurants, even the commuinty offices and service desks, and treated like second class citizens during 2020 etc…When I read the above text I felt my friends and I that suffered during the mandates also need a week of “all about creating safe, inclusive spaces to come together, express ourselves, and be proud of who we are.” Those of us who didn’t get the jab, didn’t die, but what did happen to us isn’t really on people’s radar, and what about the vax injured. As a start, I invite people to come to the dDnosaur park tomorrow at Noon for Red Remembrance Day. It’s a start, but we have a long way to go to even be acknowledged, as a part of the New Zealand population that’s had a rough go.
It all seems a bit ironic,, that’s all. But it’s also inspiring, to get out there and not be afraid to stand up and speak out. And it’s not just me that feels this way, there’s quite a few of us.
By Randall Richards Happy Voting Day, Enjoy it While You Can**
The following is a good natured exchange on Farcebook between an old friend from my hometown (New Hampshire, USA) and me. It’s self explanatory but in keeping with an “Ode” theme, I’m also including some lyrics from a song I wrote some 30 years ago, which seems applicable. Happy reading. My friend posted this meme of Farcebook recently, and here’s my response:
Hi James, others I implore you to do one thing and that’s to look outside your newsfeed because you’re being lied to in real time. I didn’t want to believe it, who does? The power structure is scared to death of being called out on their decades of corruption and are hoping, and banking on, you won’t pull back the curtain and see the truth. What I say sounds crazy, but our future depends on you and others taking off the blinders and waking up to outright lies and defamation that you’re being fed. I warn you though it will take courage. Some of us have the advantage of long-term assimilation to the facts. You don’t have that advantage and the ride may be rough, but I and others are here for you. Again I implore you to at least consider taking the red pill, because all I’m promising you is the truth and nothing more. Oh and by the way, it has less to do with left and right than you can imagine
Addendum: A good place to start would be to investigate who funds the media. You can find that on Yahoo Finance. Do you still trust the banks? Remember the Enron and too big to fail events? Do you think they have changed their behavior since then, especially regarding military industrial machine? Lastly, consider reading or listening Whitney Webb. Best to you on your journey. Randall
This was my friend’s response: Randall, I believe that you are sincerely reaching out to share what you believe to be important truths. It concerns me, however, that your comment was offered as a reaction to a post that decries bigotry in very general terms, and offers a pithy resolution to the “paradox of tolerance….” I would be surprised if your intent were to defend bigotry, but it’s hard to understand what else prompted you to post this comment here and now. I hope that your reference to “the red pill” is intended to encourage general skepticism toward dominant social narratives, rather than an embrace of the fantasies of QAnon, MAGA, incel culture, and the “Alt Right.” Unfortunately, back here in the ‘States, the “red pill” metaphor is often deployed in the service of those collective delusions.
And today’s response on voting day in the U.S: Hey James, Others, Happy voting day there Stateside. Good luck.** Good to hear back from you and thanks for your reply in the comments. I actually had a draft running, but FB deleted it. So I’ll give it another go. Yeah, I’m trying to reach out, which is an exception, because my knowledge usually falls on deaf ears. So generally, it’s not worth my time anymore. There are some you just can’t reach. But a fellow journalist is quoted as saying, there are many pathways to the truth, and some find their way through one issue or another, and then it hits them – “They’ve been lied to.” Then it’s a matter of prying off the bandage to see how bad it is.
I love your writing style. Top notch my friend. I could take some lessons from you. Here’s my response. I trust you’ll take it in good faith. Hopefully the days of respectful discourse are not of days gone by.
Your wrote, that my comment was “offered as a reaction to a post that decries bigotry in very general terms” is not how I see it. The post suggests that those on the “Right”, one side, hates blacks, brown, Asian, etc. and the other side, “Left” hates bigots. Firstly, I put the left and right in quotes, because the terms are almost meaningless. I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, it left me. Having said that there is an extremist element that has co-opted the Democratic Party. You’d be mortified to know the truth. That’s why I said it would be a rough journey if you and others start doing the hard research. The meme was not based on fact. No, I don’t defend bigotry in any form, nor even, “hate” which your post evidently advocates. Love your enemy, remember. My response, in all due respect, was not meant to be pithy in any manner. That you find it hard to understand what prompted me to post my comment is just the point that we’re on different planes of understanding.
A good friend yesterday made the analogy that learning the facts of the backstory is a bit like mathematics. It starts with bath arithmetic, etc., then algebra, and if you can handle that, calculus and then delving into quantum physics. At some point, especially me, I’ll get lost at about the calculus level, (if I’m lucky!) and drop out at that point. Learning the true history, and facts behind the current situation is similar to my analogy. People can handle the truth up to certain point, then cognitive dissonance sets in. Yeah, “the Military Industrial Complex may not have my interests in mind” or “Yeah, there were some mistakes with the vaccine rollout”, and “Yes, the media might be owned by three corporations but, it can’t be that controlled.” “Partial truth” is good enough for a lot of people. It’s not good enough. Yes, my comment about the red pill, was not in reference to the republican party. Sorry, I wasn’t clear on that. It’s about challenging the illusion, per the Matrix movie. Author of the “Great Unraveling” Julius Ruechel has brilliantly addressed the issue of mass-formation, which I encourage you read/watch. In summary, it’s as if we’re trying in some way to get y’all, people on both sides, to snap out of it. Your listing of Q’Anon, MAGA, “incel”, and Alt Right is curious and, respectfully, shows you’re a bit uninformed. “Q” is a listing of clues supposedly from someone on the inside of government. Never had time for that, and frankly I think it’s a danger to the republic, (notice I didn’t say democracy). “Anon” is a movement of onliners devoted to deciphering the clues or “drops” from “Q”. Again, a time waster in my opinion. “Alt-right” is a term like “Conspiracy Theory” that’s a powerful label created (the latter, created by the CIA, look it up) to marginalize with the sweep of a hand. And it’s effective. Yes, you’re spot on, regarding “collective delusions” but what I find interesting is it’s playing out on both sides, more acutely on “The Left”. Seeing a sea of “Red hatters” is a cautionary vision for me too. Of course Thiel’s backing of JD Vance is not a good sign. Have you heard of the Bilderberg Group, or CFR? He’s on their board of directors, and no, it’s not conspiracy. It’s fact. Please read up. As a side note, I’m not “anti-vax” but RJK Jr’s book shows that Big Pharma, and the agencies they’ve co-opted, don’t have your health in mind, and that’s putting it very mildly. They have a long history of money-making at all costs.
Replying to some of his commenters: Tom wrote: As a Trump supporter I was never a bigot. With regards to Obama…we got the first sort of mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy., I voted for him, but I was fooled. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I agree though, he is indeed articulate and bright though. David, wrote: Please read some actually reporting and scholarship, instead of conspiratorial drivel. I wouldn’t call RFK Jr’s “The Real Anthony Fauci” or “The Pfizer Papers” by Wolf, conspiratorial drivel, nor, while I’m at it, “The “Creature from Jekyll Island”. If the first book were untrue then RFK Jr. would have been sued for libel by now. Christian wrote: try breaking the pill in half. Unclear, please expound. Ted, wrote: Ok, so I read this page on Whitney Webb. Are you going to support Trump, the good friend of Jeffrey Epstein? Ted, Respectfully, your comment is irrelevant and incorrect. And you say, you ‘read a page’ on Whitney Webb. The problem is, one group has done deep research and the other is fed a narrative and believes it based on a corporate media feed. Of course Trump is not ideal, and whether he’s been convicted of rape or not, I admittedly don’t know for fact one way or the other, but have read it was a complete set-up. (As a side note, you do know, I assume, that to get a conviction, it used to require a unanimous decision on each count by a jury of your peers. The NY judge allowed each juror to come up with his own decision on individual counts, and that called those convictions. That wasn’t justice. It makes for great pablum, unless you look into it. Of course he should not be calling anyone stupid or other insults. I wouldn’t want to spend a weekend with Trump. But…Watch the “Art of the Surge”, The whole documentary series of a behind the scenes reporting during this campaign with an embedded team. It’s a rare opportunity to see history in real time. As difficult as it might be, make the stretch and see the real person vs. the “straw man” the media has painted of him, (and Alex Jones, by the way, which should trigger a few!) Ted wrote: It seems like you think: Peter Thiel, Tucker Carson, RFK Jr., DJT, etc. are truth-tellers instead of just self-serving lie-peddlers. I don’t think you’re correct. Your comments about truth tellers/lie peddlers is not based on fact, and, you “don’t think” I’m correct? It’s matter of knowledge from source materials. Respectfully, do some research, (happy to provide a book list for you), then get back to me. Martha writes: I am basing my decision to vote for Harris on information I’ve received directly from people who have dedicated their lives to defending democracy on the world stage (Gen. Kelly) or original documents (Project 2025). Admittedly, I’ve not delved into Project 2025 yet, although have had a cursory look and understanding of it. I need to look at it. I trust you remember when Obama cleaned house of all the top brass generals and installed new ones. Why do you think he did that?
In conclusion, from my side perspective and experience, I’ve seen the huge amounts of censorship that has kept “the left” from seeing the facts. So I understand the slumber, and the reluctance to look outside the info bubble. I was once accused by that “crazy guy” Ed Brown*, (anyone remember him?) from Sullivan County, NH, USA. They locked him up and threw away the key. Yeah, he was inflammatory, and wasn’t good with people*. *(All that exists online about Brown is a Wikipedia entry. While I don’t argue with their record of convictions, I’m completely dubious of Wikipedia, and take what they say with a grain of salt.) But Brown once said to me, “It’s all good that your hobby is researching the deep state and all that, but what are you actually doing to spread the truth and push back against the bullies?” At the time, I was offended at his frankness. Now, I’m a busy guy.

** Since I wrote this piece yesterday, since Trump’s win, I thought I’d better clarify the meaning of “Enjoy it while you can” in the header. Since Harris’s loss, it could be construed that I was gloating, which is not what I meant. In fact, there’s a fair chance that the globalists and deep state, and 3-letter agencies, CIA, etc., who have it out for Trump, will stage another assassination attempt, and/or a false flag event. Prefacing that no-one is coming to save us, Trump is better than Harris, and talks a good game at least. It’s fairly clear the powers that be are scattering like rats on a ship. They don’t want to held accountable for their crimes. So they’ll do whatever it takes to avoid being brought to justice. Make no mistake, these are delicate times, and let’s pray, meditate, do Hawaiian affirmations – whatever it takes to hold the peace, be welcoming and open hearted and above all compassionate. There are some wonderful posts by people on both sides saying to stay calm and enjoy the ride. I suggest readers here do the same. Trump is not the monster the mainstream media has made him out to be, nor is he a savior. But after generations of entrenched power structures, he’s one of our best bets (not the only one though) of making this right. So, in short, what I meant was, buckle up. It could be an interesting ride.
Oh, yes, an Ode to The Republic,

Sharon works in Twizel’s “Four Square” grocery store as a checkout person. As she addressed the elderly lady ahead of me in line, she was saying, “What can I do for you Love?” and, “Ok Darling, I’ll get that for you”. It struck me that I was seeing a very special woman at work. She addressed me with an equally warm-hearted salutation, “How are you today Honey?”
After I finished paying, I said, “Thank you for your kind approach to your customers, including me.”
You know what her answer was? “Well, it puts a spring in your step.” I think she meant for all involved, not just her. I walked out of the store, moved to tears, (yeah, I’m “that sort”) and went back for a photo, and a hug.
Call it concidence, but when I’m in grocery stores, I often see it as a spontaneous opportunity to be present, to tune into the flow. (Thanks, Eckhart Tolle, for the tip). I was doing just that before I entered Sharon’s checkout line. And I think, the more we ask for direct feedback, the universe provides. But be forewarned, that can be both positive and negative learnings. I remember Gary Acevedo once saying, “Being on the planet now, learning is not an option, but how we learn, is. You can learn by ‘blessings’ (good stuff happens) or by ‘lessons’, (bad stuff happens).” So, I’ll have what Sharon’s having – a good dose of the positive.
By Randall Richards Yesterday, I attended the NZDSOS, (New Zealand Doctors Speaking Out With Science) called “Empowering Change” held in Christchurch. There were range of speakers from as far away as the UK and the US, who informed and inspired an audience of six-hundred. The event will also be held next weekend on the 28th of September in Auckland and tickets are still available here. The lineup is impressive:
The event was emceed by former Quantas Senior Pilot, Graham Hood, who did a fabulous job of setting a compassionate, humorous tone, but one with a “Time to roll up our sleeves”, pitch, where we need to spread the truth about what’s really going on today in the field of health. Speakers informed, inspired and motivated the crowd, with deep dives into the facts, productive strategies and tactics going forward, and the psychological realities ahead. These speakers had either been mandated out, sidelined from their leadership roles in medicine, and all had faced censorship of one sort or another. What they all have is a sense honor, humour and determination that wowed the crowd and left us feeling like we will all get through this. Below are some snippets of the key speakers.
Graham Hood opened the event by saying, “We’re living in perilous times. One thing COVID has done – We’ve found our tribe, and that is a positive of the past few years. But we still have to fight to have bodily autonomy, and sovereignty.” He then asked the audience, “Fear. What is fear? It’s False Evidence Appearing Real.
“Wuhan presented us with images of people dying in the streets then, a whole bunch of companies were racing to develop a vaccine.” Dr. Peter McCullough was asking, ‘Hey wait! has anyone looked in the cupboard to see what might already work such as Vitamin D or Ivermectin?’ There was a solution, but, that would make the emergency act null and void. So what did they do? They deregistered and shut down these doctors lives.” Hood went on to mention a good maxim: “Identify the problem before you solve it.. There aren’t that many problems that have to be solved immediately.” “During my flying career as a pilot, we were trained, in a crisis, there is an emergency message we are trained to use, ‘Captain YOU MUST LISTEN’. so the co-pilot can get the attention of the pilot. So in this case, we say, ‘Government, you must listen, you are are seen as only protecting your backside.” He then welcomed the first speaker.
The well-spoken, (and well prepared) Dr. Angus Dalgleish gave a talk entitled, “Early covid virus Observations and how they promote cancer” He started by stating, that there exists negligence and incompetence on a grand scale.” Dr. Angus, presented an incredibly detailed series of slides showing, in short, why the virus was a setup and wasn’t at all what we were told. Since I’m not a science writer, I won’t go into the details, but in another piece, will point out resources and links for readers to gather their own conclusions. Suffice it to say this fellow knows his stuff and is sticking to his story. He said, “A Vaccine was not needed in the first place and the whole thing was run like a military operation.” Adding, “We were told ‘you’re the only one who’s thinking this way, so shut up.’ Well, I will not shut up.” That got the our audience going. In one of his closing remarks he said, “The biggest problem we have at this time is censorship.”
Dr. Paul Marik, is a leading edge doctor from South Africa, currently in living in the U.S. His talk was entitled , “Patient Empowerment/People Empowerment,” He started by stating, “Shedding is a real issue. That’s the bad news. But there are things we can do to mitigate the the negative effects.” He asked, “Where we were in the past, with lockdowns and mandates, was not a good place. And now, where we want to go to?”
“We have to empower ourselves, going forward. Excess deaths, the experts say, are from COVID and global warming – (Just a reminder, excess deaths are deaths of people who shouldn’t have died). You can’t trust the medical journals, because the data is manipulated and false. There is something else causing these excess deaths.” Marik showed a slide from life insurance data showing proof of young people dying. and another slide showed, the more vaccines, the greater the chance of getting COVID. And yet another slide clearly showed the uptake in cancer related deaths. He stated, “Cancer is preventable. It’s a disease of modern mankind part of the Hominidae family. So why is that chimps don’t get cancer? Something in our lifestyle in what we eat and what we do.
A recent example is the super model Elle MacPherson, who ignored her doctor’s medical advice, and shares her secret of surviving cancer.”
“Here are a few things you can do.” Marik stated, “Vitamin D 10k units per day, which is good for depression, cancer, COVID. Use red lights in bedroom in the evening, and the worst thing to do is eat the first thing in the morning, or the last thing before you go to bed.”
Dr. Marik concluded by saying, “We’re moving from a sick care system to health care system. It’s Important to take charge of our lives.”
Dr. Alison Goodwin, gave a detailed history of NZDSOS, since their first action, the presentation of their 1st open letter to the Ministry of Health, The Prime Minister, and eight other key government officials. They also issued, and still do, legal actions against the use of provisional consent to rollout a novel injection (2021), in March 2022 the challenged the mandates, in ’22/23 NZDSOS brought forward individual cases and challenged suspensions, and supported the NZTSOS (teachers) appeal. In 2024 they filed to pause fluoridation and are challenging against the MCNZ regarding the Guidance Statement. Goodwin’s closing slides included this powerful list of requirements in order to move on:
Dr. Matt Shelton‘s (of NZDSOS) talk was entitled, “The past will not equal the future if we are determined enough. Strategies, tactics and psychological realities for our future.”
Dr. Shelton gave a riveting and inspiring speech showing us a possible way forward from the quagmire in which we find ourselves of deceptive government health practices worldwide. He started by mentioning a an important study called the “Japanese Nakahara study” – “These results are so extraordinary, we have to take notice. It hasn’t been refuted or retracted and shows the universality of the negative impact of the vaccines.” He also mentioned the “Thai Boys study” in Thailand, where a whopping 3.5% of the study had clinical evidence of myocarditis . This was the first study that gave a ballpark figure. This was followed by a study in Switzerland, where health care workers showed a 2.7% incidence of myocarditis from boosters where they looked at troponin (a protein in blood that indicates damage to heart muscle), and death of some heart cells. The suggestion: that there is a widespread effect on the heart from the vaccine.” “What we need to look for is “triangulation” There was the Nathan Meade study was retracted, but has since been republished. In short, what’s happening in real life is much worse than is officially being reported.”
“We have to hang on to our intuition. If the other side won’t even engage or tell us that we’re wrong, that says we’re on the right track. The most worrying thing has been the silence from all the institutions, and how how quickly the lines were drawn, and there has been no debate on the science. [When we started presenting these studies’] we thought, BOOM now people will wake up, we’ll have the answer. But that hasn’t happened.” “The story for white clot is different. These are tangible signs that seems to be affecting people who have had jabs. This is what embalmers are saying, labs, surgeons. There are enough of these people now, and we’ve had several years of this seemingly horrendous phenomenon that needs an explanation.” Shelton added, “We can’t work in isolation, we can’t work without funding. It will take a loud voice to speak the truth to power.” Shelton said to the audience, “Welcome to those of you in the audience who are curious, or who are from the NZ Medical Council, or…. the intelligence services.” “Everyone needs to move from being passive supporters. When someone says to me, ‘Thank you for what you’re doing’ I respond by asking them what they’re doing to affect change. We could move mountains, if all those people that know that something is wrong , speak out and do something. “
“So, most of the country [here in NZ], must be antivaxxers.” said Shelton, “It’s now more than six months since vaccination, and booster rates are slipping, and everyday people aren’t taking them.” On another note, he continued, “Everyone is looking for a leader, Even in the freedom movement, there is still a tendency to wait for the cavalry to come over the hill. We are the cavalry.” “We don’t just want you to be behind us, but to stand shoulder to shoulder with us. So many were at the Wellington Protest against the mandates. That was the beginning of the end. There is going to be a tipping point. The human herd will eventually notice when enough of its members are not there anymore. We have to keep telling the truth, not worrying about where the chips may fall. We’re occupying the landscape that is ours.” Find a country the USA has invaded where they’re still there. They haven’t been [in the occupied country] for all that long. The countrymen, the freedom fighters kick them out after a time. We have a lot of brothers and sisters waiting to be inspired, and model behavior. There are many stories of people trying to connect. They are inching back from the narrative, and we need as many people as possible. I would ask people to read and re-read the posts that our media team has posted. Everything is in there. We know they are shadow banning us on social media and the news so please share this information.
Katie Ashby-Koppens, a lawyer based in New Zealand and Australia, presented “Success Stories and empowerment” on her work with various important cases both in Australia and New Zealand, related to transgressions by the government against human rights and health freedom.
Ashby-Koppens most notably worked with Voices for Freedom when evidence obviously showed in 2021 the negative effects of mandates regarding border workers, corrections, medical professionals, teachers, not to mention the mandatory use of vaccine passes. These were challenged by Katie and her team.
In 2022, Voices for Freedom met with the Human Rights Commission and issued a press release stating in its opening lines: “Voices for Freedom yesterday gave a voice to those negatively impacted by the Government’s Covid-19 responses….”
Also of note, was Ashby-Koppens’ work, in part, on the legal aspects, to help relieve the plight of the Mahelino Patelesio family, who were forced into “house arrest” on the small island of Tokelau which is “a non self-governing territory” of New Zealand. The arrest had devastating effects on the family. The arrest, was perpetrated on the family because they refused the Pfizer injection. The family eventually was allowed to move to New Zealand, where well wishers greeted them with open arms. Also in 2023, Rodney Hide interviewed Mr. Patelesio on Reality Check Radio. The piece is entitled, “Mahelino Patelesio On Home Arrest In Tokelau & Standing Up For His Beliefs.” (Editor’s Note: It’s worth noting, that In 2022, Liz Gunn of FreeNZ broke the story by posting an interview with Patelesio , and played an important role in helping to get the family to safety in New Zealand.)
Across the ditch in Australia, Katie has been busy with the following legal actions: “AVN vs TGA, Federal court, 5-12 yr olds”, “Dr. Parry vs TGA,HIgh Court re: 6 month to 6 year olds” and “Fidge vs Phizer and Maderna, Federal Court, LNP-modMRNA=GMO” Most recently, in a letter addressed to the Australian Department of Health on the 18th, Sept. 2024, PJ O’brien and Assoc, a law firm with which Katie is associated, addresses DNA contamination in Australian mRNA Covid shots: “Synthetic plasmid DNA contamination has been detected in Australian vials of Pfizer and Moderna Covid vaccines at levels of between seven to 145 times the allowable limit, a new report shows.”
Graham Hood, the EmCee interjected between speakers, by saying, “The people who have done this, must be held to account. But we also have to live in a more tolerant society. They will be held accountable, but we have to forgive, once they pay for what they have done. When someone says, I really blew that’ I say, ‘You will be embraced by a great many people.”
Founder of Reaching People, David Charalambous, a communications specialist, presented on “Communications, Messaging and Human Behavior – Reaching people.” Having worked for Outward Bound for about 15 years, I found this presentation fascinating, and I think rest in the audience did as well. I found it so fascinating, I forgot to take any images of him.
David asked the simple question, “How did I see things, when others didn’t? He continued, “And then the consequences came: It’s ‘the picnic for one’, prior to that it wasn’t like that, until you started bringing up “topics”. “The problem with [having those consequences] is we start to self censor. That’s one of the greatest weapons of propaganda, It leads to apathy. But more importantly, speaking up leads and motivates others to speak up as well. There’s huge power in numbers. March 2022 was quite alarming time, but my 20 years of experience and my studies, I was seeing systems worldwide [that suddenly] stopped working on a scale I’d never seen before.” “I researched – How to use effectively communicate to someone with different views than yours. And that is very different than communicating with someone within your same group.” Charalambous told a story about woman who was taking a walk in a city park. She was not wearing a mask, and encountered an elderly lady there. The elderly woman immediately confronted her, wagging her finger, saying “You should be wearing a mask.” But the maskless woman, instead of “stepping into the ring”, just asked, simply asked, “How can I help you, my dear? I’m here to listen.” And the masked lady replied, “I just need a hug.” Charalambous said, “Then both of their defenses came down. The moral of the story, ‘Do not step in the ring’ when you’re confronted with someone on the opposite side of the fence. It wont solve anything, it just plays into their hands.”
He said, “Seek to first Understand” “I’m extremely hopeful, when people know what’s going on, successes will go through the roof. He briefly covered some key examples of effective influence after having reminded us about the famous Milgram Experiment : “So what works best it tell people what their neighbors do. We are social animals in packs, communities. We look to what others are doing for cues and clues for what to do. It’s really shocking that incentives have a key effect on behavior. David then showed a quote on the screen: ‘There are two reasons for everything – A good reason and a real reason.’ JP Morgan“
“We on this side, have been awful at predicting behavior. But the establishment is good at it. Further, there is no baseline for the description ‘antivax’ or ‘conspiracy theorist’. This is why the terms work so well. You cannot convince others of your point of view when you are in “different groups”, Until you find common ground, you won’t get anywhere. The solution is to find a way that we become a “we”, instead of “us and them”. Unless you find common ground, you don’t continue the conversation. We have to drop that winning label . Would you rather get your family friends back or …be right. How you say something ismor important vs what you say.”
The emcee, Mr. Hood, concluded the day by starting with the following, “Don’t mine for darkness”. (Which reminds me of the Native American saying, “Keep your face to the sunshine”)
Hood continued, “Invite the government to tell us where we’re wrong. [But also], if we keep drawing attention to this Health Tyranny, then the wall will come down. These speakers you see here on stage today need to be brought from obscurity to where they can bring out the truth.” adding, “So, build the bridge first and get off the soap box.. Give those that have been fooled, a way to save face. You have the curse of knowledge. You’re in the 10 percent that isn’t suspectable., So give them a back door out, and simply say, ‘You’ve been lied to.'”
Dr. Fre, founder of the Asklepion Academy and author “Free Your Smile and Love Your Teeth”. He’s a retired dentist with a mission no less than transforming dental practices in New Zealand. Like the other speakers before him who spoke about the healthcare system as a “sick care system” with monetary incentives to get patients on drugs rather than actual treatment, Fre reports that the dental profession is no better.
He showed an informative & uplifting video, (which he created himself) of what is possible for the future of dentistry. His mission is to arm his students with knowledge, to not only take more of an active role in their own dental healthcare, but, once armed with this knowledge, to give dentists his book, and ask them to consider another way of practicing dentistry. He’s a visionary, and in his presence, one has the feeling, (like being around many people in these truth movements), that you’re listening to someone creating a new future before your eyes, and there’s something historical about what he’s saying. Don’t miss either his talk in Auckland, or make a point to stop by his website, take his free online course, and.. buy his book.
Editor’s Note: My motto is publish first, edit second. Well not exactly, but I do tend to add content, corrections and links once the item is published, and this piece is no different. In this updated edit, I’ve added more content on Dr. Fre and Katie Ashby-Koppens‘ presentation, a note about Liz Gunn’s efforts in the Patelesio case, and have included a list of all the other speakers and their organisations.
By Randall RIchards I remember, some years ago, I made many attempts to see subliminal messages on television. I was told if you open and close your eyes at a fast rate you can sometimes catch words and phrases within the frames of shows, ads and the news. Try as I might I couldn’t see anything.
Years later my wife watched something on TVNZ Livestream, which she never does. She just wanted a diversion from our normal intake of “Truth Media” (as opposed to OFM, or “Old Fashioned Media”). She was watching a standard series of some sort, and suddenly saw words flash across the screen. I don’t recall what she saw, but she said it was rather disturbing, similar to “You are worthless” or the like. She decided to do a little research and this link popped up about a complaint made in 2008 to the NZ Broadcasting Standards Authority by a fellow named Micheal Bennett against TVNZ.
Mr Bennett said in the complaint that he was watching an episode of Eating Media Lunch when he stated that the message “Kill Yourself Now” had flashed onto the screen in a subliminal manner. He contended that the message had only lasted for “3 or 4 frames of the 25 in each second” and that “this method of subliminal advertising” had been banned world-wide.” The complaint which can viewed here, stated, “During an episode of Eating Media Lunch, broadcast on TV2 at 10pm on 2 November 2007, the message “Kill Yourself Now” was displayed on the screen just before the programme’s opening credits. The message was only visible for a fraction of a second.”
TVNZ assessed the complaint under Standards 1, 2, 8 and 9, and guideline 8b of the Free-to-Air Television Code of Broadcasting Practice. which are:
Standard 1 Good Taste and Decency In the preparation and presentation of programmes, broadcasters are responsible for maintaining standards which are consistent with the observance of good taste and decency. Standard 2 Law and Order In the preparation and presentation of programmes, broadcasters are responsible for maintaining standards which are consistent with the maintenance of law and order. Standard 8 Programme Information Broadcasters are responsible for ensuring that programme information and structure does not deceive or disadvantage the viewer. Guideline 8b Broadcasters should not use the process known as “subliminal perception” or any other technique which attempts to convey information to the viewer by transmitting messages below or near the threshold of normal awareness. Standard 9 Children’s Interests During children’s normally accepted viewing times broadcasters are required, in the preparation and presentation of programmes, to consider the interests of child viewers.
The complaints filed by Bennett specifically were: “standards of good taste and decency, law and order, programme information and children’s interests had been breached. He argued that the message “Kill Yourself Now” had flashed onto the screen in a subliminal manner. He contended that the message had only lasted for “3 or 4 frames of the 25 in each second” and that “this method of subliminal advertising” had been banned world-wide.
“He had been deeply offended by the message and believed that suggesting suicide was both irresponsible and illegal. He considered that subliminal messaging was a powerful tool for implanting ideas into a viewer’s subconscious.”
“Bennett pointed out that the episode was available on TVNZ’s website and that this meant children and teenagers with access to a computer could watch the programme at any time. He stated that “children and teenagers are vulnerable and this sort of subliminal message may well push a depressed young person over the edge”.
And you’ll never guess what the decision by the Broadcasting Standards Authority was. All of the following issues were “not upheld” in other words, they BSA could not find fault with TVNZ: Standard 1 (good taste and decency) – contextual factors – not upheld Standard 2 (law and order) – item did not encourage viewers to break the law or promote, condone or glamorise criminal activity – not upheld Standard 8 (programme information) – action taken by the broadcaster sufficient – not upheld Standard 9 (children’s interests) – standard not applicable – not upheld
In short the Authority ignored Bennett’s complaint, based on the laughable defense of TVNZ which stated:
TVNZ stated that “the message had been broadcast after the introduction featuring the “coming up section” and that it was intended to be an ironic and humorous comment* on the material that was going to follow. It pointed out that during different episodes of the programme other messages of “the same ilk” had flashed up before the beginning credits including “napalm the pakeha”, “mysky = small penis” and “Tame Iti = Bin Laden?”. adding, “The broadcaster argued that the phrase was not meant to be threatening or aggressive “nor was it meant to imply that the viewer should kill themselves”. It considered that the phrase was ironic and that it would be understood as a joke by regular viewers of Eating Media Lunch. TVNZ believed that material of this nature was acceptable in the context of an AO-rated programme, which was preceded by a warning and broadcast at 10pm. It declined to uphold the good taste and decency complaint.”
TVNZ argued that “for a programme to breach this standard it must actively promote disrespect for the law. It reiterated its argument that the programme was well-known for its satirical comedy and that it often contained footage and behaviour that was challenging. It maintained that the phrase was not meant to be taken as a directive but was intended to be a humorous comment on the material that was to come. The broadcaster believed that the phrase did not promote disrespect for the law. It declined to uphold the Standard 2 complaint.
In conclusion, through first-hand eyewitness accounts (my wife included), subliminal messaging does still exist, certainly in NZ. Thanks to the internet, facts don’t go away for those that are willing to do a little research. Again, quoting Mark Twain, “A lie gets half-way around the world before Truth gets a chance to put its pants on.” I’m rooting for truth. *Emphasis added by author
Freedom Village, The story of the 2022 New Zealand Convoy and Freedom Village Camp at Parliament Grounds
Freedom Village is a new book by Sue Grey and Alan Simmons. It’s the people’s story of the “controversial” 2022 occupation of the New Zealand Parliament grounds. It’s a confronting story of hope, courage, collaboration and determination in the face of abuse of state power.
Grey says of the people who contributed their stories to the book that “The story was in them, and they wanted to get it out to the the public. Creating the book was similar to the energy that was present at the protest, very inspiring.” Grey adding, “Now it’s time to get the story told. I thought I knew the story because I was there, but now I have a fuller picture of what happened, as told from other’s perspectives and experiences who were there.”
People united to reclaim freedoms from government overreach. They soon learned that the real battle line was for control of information, and for the public mind and mood. The authors were there from the beginning and record this historic event revealing shocking information many would prefer to remain hidden.
This book is a historic record of the 23-day protest camp, and has information, hidden from the public. This publication goes hand-in-hand with other excellent projects in New Zealand, such the films River of Freedom, and We Came here for Freedom, which expose the truth of what really happened at the protest against government overreach and media manipulation at the behest of powerful forces. Much of the untold story would have remained hidden without the startling revelations in this book.
From the book’s website: “Each generation needs a war, or a Woodstock, to remind us of what it is to be human, the magic of people power and the rewards of finding the courage to step up for humanity. Our Woodstock was the Freedom Village at New Zealand’s Parliament grounds in Wellington for 23 days starting 8 February 2022″.
“Perhaps our most important role is to sprinkle seeds of inspiration, hope, courage, aroha [love] and unity“
About the Authors
Sue Grey is a self-employed lawyer who specialises in complex emerging issues. She is also co-leader of NZ Outdoors and Freedom Party and one of New Zealand’s freedom heroes. Sue has a double major in Biochemistry and Microbiology and RSHDipPHI. Her first career was as a Health Protection Officer where she worked for central government included investigating infectious diseases and contact tracing – perfect training for her to spot the many red flags with the unorthodox Covid response
.
Alan Simmons lives in Turangi, NZ, and for the last 50 years worked as a full time fishing and hunting guide. The Covid response put an end to international travel and clients and in 2022 he was forced to retire by police thuggery when his hip was fractured in a police action while he was standing on a street corner filming.
Sue suggests you and others request your local library to have their it on their shelves. Or one can donate to their library. Also mention it to your local bookseller.
Here’s what filmmaker & journalist Alistair Harding (We Came Here for Freedom) has to say about the book: “Sue and Alan have created a book that will be worthy of the very Kiwi descriptor: ‘Taonga’, for our nation’s history. This book is a treasure because it is a first-hand account in the absence of any true journalism of the time. And so one day this story will be the source material that historians will turn to. Where they will find a vast difference between the voices of the people who were there and the narrative spun by a news media that mostly appeared incapable of any empathy for their fellow New Zealanders who had had their lives destroyed by the vaccine mandates.“
By Randall Richards Yesterday, I attended an “Aspiring Conversations” event called “Truth and Lies*” which is part of Wanaka, “Festival of Colour” held periodically in this small but growing town on New Zealand’s South Island. I, and about twenty-five friends who are concerned about threats to free speech and government overreach, had bought the $25 ticket to hear four people on stage discuss what their webpage describes as follows “How do we know what is true and how do we deal with the misinformation and disinformation that plagues not just social media, but public life.”
Truth and Lies speakers lineup, clockwise from upper left: Susie Ferguson, Kate Hannah (no show), Byron Clarke and Siouxsie Wiles.
The webpage gave the speakers’ backgrounds: “Susie Ferguson has recently produced a podcast series called Undercurrents. Kate Hannah (no-show) is the director of the Disinformation Project. Byron C Clarke is an expert on the far right and has just written Fear: New Zealand’s Hostile World of Extremists. Siouxsie Wiles is a science communicator who has been targeted by the alt right.” The event was hosted by Radio New Zealand host Kathryn Ryan
I was dreading going to the event. I was tempted to bring a barf bag in protest but decided at the last minute to nix that idea. I felt as if I were going into the den of lions. The thought of attending this talk brought a mild feeling of nausea. When I found a seat in the audience, I grew a bit anxious, as what looked like a largely retired, but woke population, started to fill the auditorium. As a group, my friends and I agreed we’d be respectful of their guidelines, (besides we discovered when Kathryn Ryan was reading the ground rules, that “Any disruptions from the audience would result in being escorted out by security personnel.” A friend from Arrowtown, NZ, who didn’t get our memo, did speak out loudly once, when Siouxsie Wiles stated on stage that there were minimal adverse effects of the Covid19 “vaccine”. He spoke up loudly, saying, “What about the skyrocketing excess deaths reported?” He was rewarded by a security guard coming to the end of his row and glowering at him with a threatening look of, “Don’t do that again, or you’re out of here.”
A last minute email sent out to ticket-holders the day before the event stated, that if we’d like to submit questions to be considered, they’d have to be emailed in prior. So that evening we, as a group, decided to submit the following questions:
1. What are the panel’s views on Dr. Michael Kelly’s recent article that calculated it would cost New Zealand $500 BILLION to implement the climate change actions being proposed by our Government?
2. Does the panel regard it to be “true” that the Covid vaccine was “safe and effective?”
3. What is the panel’s opinion of NZ’s Bill of Rights which states that: “Everyone has the right to freedom of expression, including the freedom to seek, receive, and impart information and opinions of any kind in any form.”
4. What level of C02 is acceptable to members of this panel when ice samples show that the planet currently has its lowest ever levels of CO2 levels in the last 70 million years?
5. What is the panel’s opinion regarding the refusal of our ministry of Health to release the true data on the vaccination injury statistics and all-cause mortality figures over the last 4 years?
6. Why does the panel think advertisers are withdrawing from mainstream media in their droves, causing their collapse?
7. Can members of the panel please confirm, in public that you do not receive any funding from third parties like the UN, WHO or Governmental or university bodies – either directly or indirectly?
There was no Q&A section of the presentation. Knowing, this might be the case, we printed out copies of the questions to hand out to the audience as they exited the building with the following additional background printed on the front:
Questions for the Truth & Lies Panel Discussion Some concerned people in the Otago region are planning to ask these 7 questions at the Truth and Lies discussion event on the 6th of April, which is slated to be part of Wanaka’s Aspiring Conversations, at The Festival of Colour. We, as individuals, will request these questions be answered during the Q&A portion of the event, if there is such a portion. If not, we will ask the panel if they will answer the questions in the room, immediately after the event. If the panel will not address the questions after the event, we will present these questions to them with a request to respond via email, and will also hand out copies of this document to the attendees as they exit the event. We’re hopeful the discussion panel will hear our concerns, and we look forward to hearing their answers.
We also included their mission of the event:
From the Festival of Colour Website:
“Our vision is to create an extraordinary platform that inspires, entertains, and challenges, fostering community well-being. Through diverse performances, thought-provoking discussions, and interactive events, we aim to engage our community and captivate individuals from all walks of life. Our dynamic programme showcases both established and emerging artists, representing Aotearoa’s artistic and cultural landscape alongside international acts.
We believe in the transformative power of the arts to spark conversations, challenge perceptions, and connect people. Alongside showcasing incredible performances that move our audiences, our festivals stimulate dialogue on critical issues, encouraging reflection and exploration of new ideas, encouraging personal growth, cultural understanding, and social cohesion.“(emphasis added by author)
I’m sorry to say the event fell far short of ticking any of the boxes I highlight above. On the contrary, the event encouraged conformative non-critical thinking by oversimplifying major issues of the day such as the use of the internet and the Telegram platform in particular. At one point, Susie Ferguson stated she was “given a tour of Telegrams groups” as if it were some sort of foreign dark web element of our society. It is not. Byron Clarke stated “Be skeptical and stick to broadcasting standards.” I say, keep an open mind, and follow your nose. Someone recently is quoted as saying, people know the truth when they see it, they can smell it.” Another quote oft attributed to Mark Twain, “A lie gets half way around the world before truth gets a chance to put its pants on.” Maintaining an open, curious mind today is mandatory to stay healthy and at peace.
My twelve year son, who attended the event, picked up on the overall feeling of fear from the panel members, and he was right. Clarke earlier stated, “We’re in worrying times when our landscape of news media is changing with fake news, fake info, on the internet which is considered the truth”. The audience then sighed or gasped. I had the distinct feeling I was in a paddock of sheep. Clarke added the example of “The protest of the mandates in Wellington are signs of worrying times, when they could have been protesting for a more worthy cause”. He continued, “While reputable newscasts are behind some sort of paywalls, (TV subscriptions, advertising, etc) the internet is free, such as New Zealand’s own Counterspin Media, Reality Check Radio, Voice Media, my own blog and Infowars and TCN the U.S. to name a few. (For the record, the above excluding my own and Counterspin, have paid elements of their services. Voice Media is virtually a full paid subscription service and TCN has much of its content behind a paywall). The mainstream military industrial media globalist complex gets paid to lie and create the mess, we have to volunteer or scrounge for donations to clean up the mess. I, and others in truth* media, can speak from experience that countering the narrative doesn’t pay well. Without corporate sponsors, even the “founding father” of truth media, Alex Jones, has to promote his health line of supplements to stay on air. He doesn’t receive government grants as does RNZ and other “Old Fashioned Media, OFM” here in New Zealand.
The moderator brought up our Bill of Rights in NZ, and the right to free speech. That was a curious exchange, with Souixsie Wiles stating in effect, that free speech is not an absolute, that when someone says something which could end up killing someone with misinformation (regarding the pandemic), this is not a right. This sparked a few comments from the audience. Rightfully so.
Byron incorrectly stated that “people who are online too much are susceptible , That’s why the pandemic blew things up for a certain percentage of the population. My feeling is that what they’re reading online justifies violence, and the material appeals to those that don’t trust authority.” Firstly, violence is never justified, and yes, there surely must be a small percentage of unbalanced individuals who advocate violence on the internet. But to the bigger picture, correct me if I’m wrong, is it not only our right, but our responsibility to have a healthy distrust our government? The founding fathers of the U.S. Declaration of Independence certainly accounted for that when they constructed the constitution.
Going back to what my 12-yr old picked up, that the panelists seemed fearful, and “not in a good way” as he put it. “They weren’t healthy and happy looking like our friends” he stated. “They seemed like they had low energy.” My read on the situation confirms his perceptions.
I had a cathartic experience at the event. I had never seen any of these people in person before. Once I saw them on stage, I felt empathy for them. All I wanted to do was somehow reach out to them, either on or off the record. It was helpful hearing their story to understand where they are coming from. It’s clear they are troubled and don’t have the full picture. As I’ve written in previous articles, and stated on stage, I was brought up in an extended family who had a healthy distrust (but also respect) of the U.S. government and military. My uncle was a 4-star general in the army and worked in the Pentagon as an aide to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He told me about the reality of Washington DC and the power structures. It’s mainly what got me interested in being a United Press International photojournalists in my late teens and early ’20’s. It’s also what got me interested in finding out the back-story of how things work, by making my own investigative phone calls, and receiving answers I didn’t want to hear by our state-owned media and institutions.
Last night, all I could do was feel compassion for these ill-informed panelists who know not what they do. Well, maybe they do. The saying, “they’re either being played or being paid” holds true here. Despite that, all I saw were humans on stage, who were mirroring in statements, (to a much greater degree than my friends and I feel), some of the same issues we felt when being mandated out of public places or fired from our jobs. The people on stage made comments such as, “I feel afraid to speak out for fear of reprisals, for losing my job, for losing friendships.” All I saw was a mirror of myself, in an exaggerated form. As a caveat, I would say, I’m not really fearful, and at this point, I don’t care what people think of my opinions. That’s one of the advantages of getting older. This cast of characters on stage might even be “in on the take”. So what? It is what it is. It doesn’t mean we don’t stand outside the venue with posters showing photographs of vaccine injured individuals who have suffered greatly, to help open people’s eyes. But it does mean we have compassion for those that haven’t yet seen the whole truth. It’s like being upset at someone for having a cold or illness. How can you? It seems on the surface, they have a choice in the matter, but they don’t have a choice until they break free of the conditioning. It’s not their fault. It’s a condition of the times. An exciting time to be a journalist and a writer. I can tell you that much!
Reactions from a friend about the “Truth and Lies” event in Wanaka, NZ, and others with posters of “vaccine” injured victims who have either died or now have serious side effects.
Author’s Note: *I was tempted to include in this article, that the title should have been called “Lies and More Lies” which I think is funny, but it implies the panel members know that they’re lying, and I can at least tell, with certainty, they’re not seeing the whole picture. Whether it’s intentional or not, at least at this level I’m not sure. Look up “Hegelian Dialectic.” This just in: Just received this text from a friend who was not able to attend the event: “Hi Randall, Looks like you all made a bit of an impact with the pants on fire crowd.” Oh good, I look forward to hearing more!
Update: I’ve been hearing some really good comments from my community here in Wanaka, and encourage you, and those beyond the area, to comment in section below or on my Farcebook page as well to stir the pot.
